About Temple of Bricks

Passion for Lego

Like many of you, I discovered Lego in my childhood. I was very quickly fascinated by this construction toy, I spent most of my time with it, and I grew with the different ranges of the brand, classic Lego City, Knights and Pirates, until the arrival of the Lego Star Wars, which helped develop my passion for the universe created by George Lucas.

But like most Lego fans, I stopped playing with it as I grew up. It is only when I was adult that by chance I came back to Lego: following the news about the new Star Wars movies, I discovered the sets released on this occasion. Out of curiosity, I bought the Millennium Falcon, and nostalgia caught me: I bought the other Star Wars sets of this wave, then older sets, then individual minifigures.

Why Temple of Bricks?

Once launched into the Lego Star Wars collection I spent a lot of time looking for the best sales to advance my collection and get the sets and figurines that interested me without leaving a fortune, to navigate between different merchant sites and price comparison sites to be sure to find the best prices.

But I quickly cfound the limit: most of the time, e-commerce sites and price comparison sites only offer recent sets, and no individual minifigures. To buy old minifigs or sets, you have to turn to specialized marketplaces but not very intuitive, or to sites allowing individuals to sell their products.

But the problem is that on these sites, it's the jungle. Between counterfeits, second-hand products and speculators, it is difficult to find the real bargains, and it takes a lot of time: you have to do research to compare prices and consult several times a day new sales so you don't miss a thing, because most of the time sellers have only one item and the good deals are sold after a few hours.

It is from this need to make it easier to find the best deals for my collection that the idea to use my web development skills to create a price comparison site capable of automatically finding the best possible prices for recent and old sets as well as for single minifigs.

A price comparison site for Lego collectors

This is how Templeofbricks.com was born. Launched in March 2020, the site was initially dedicated only to the Lego Star Wars range, and displayed in its first version only offers from eBay for sets as for minifigures, which did not prevent it from attracting its first users as soon as it went online. The site then evolved at the end of 2020 to improve with a new design, but above all the addition of several other partner sites such as Amazon, Fnac, Cdiscount and Lego official website to expand the available price offer.

Since then, Temple of Bricks continues to develop with new partner merchants, new Lego ranges, a blog with reviews of Lego sets and articles, as well as on social networks, with a single objective: to become a reference site in the Lego world.
