News sets for the 25th Anniversary of Lego Star Wars

The year 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of the Star Wars theme at Lego. The year promises to be exciting with commemorative sets yet to be unveiled, but it begins modestly with two small sets: a highly anticipated double battlepack and a 4+ set that complements a previously released model.

New Lego Star Wars sets january 2024

75372 Clone Trooper & Battle Droid Battle Pack

29.99 $ - 215 piece - 01 january 2024

The first Lego Star Wars novelty of the year, set 75372 Clone Troopers and Battle Droids Battle Pack, marks the much-anticipated return of the super battle droid B2 and the Phase II white Clone Trooper after years of absence. The set allows you to build a droid, a speeder, and a barricade, and Lego has been generous with three B2 battle droids, two B1 battle droids, three clone soldiers, and a Shock Trooper, all for $29.99. This set promises to be a must-have for minifigure collectors and army builders, offering an excellent value for its price.

75384 The Crimson Firehawk

49.99 $ - 136 piece - 01 january 2024

January 2024's second set, the 75384 Crimson Firehawk, is a 4+ set based on the Young Jedi Adventures series, serving as a complement to last year's 75358 Jedi Temple of Tenoo by introducing the Nubs minifigure to complete the trio of Jedi younglings from the series. The set also includes the Nash Durango minifigure and her droid RJ-83, allowing builders to construct his ship, the Crimson Firehawk, along with a speeder and a market stand. While the set may appeal to minifigure collectors, it comes with a steep price tag at 49.99$ for 136 pieces. Therefore, I recommend waiting for a good promotion before making a purchase.

New Lego Star Wars sets march 2024

75375 Millennium Falcon

84.99 $ - 921 piece - 01 march 2024

Riding on the success of last year's Executor set, Lego is introducing new scaled-down spaceship models in 2024, complete with display stands—ideal for AFOLs (Adult Fans of Lego) seeking detailed sets for display in limited spaces. Of course, it's the Millennium Falcon's turn to join this format. Rather compact at 24 cm long, it boasts a significantly higher level of detail than its predecessor, thanks to its 921 pieces. It comes with an elegant black stand featuring a nameplate and a commemorative LEGO Star Wars 25th-anniversary brick. Priced reasonably at $84.99, this set is poised to be a must-have in 2024.

75376 Tantive IV

79.99 $ - 654 piece - 01 march 2024

Following the Millennium Falcon, the Tantive IV makes a return to the medium-sized range, perfect for shelf display. Comprising 654 pieces and measuring 32 cm long, the set is visually impressive. Its iconic status as the first Star Wars ship to appear on-screen in the 1977 film makes it essential for any respectable collector, despite its slightly higher price of $79.99.

75377 Invisible Hand

49.99 $ - 557 piece - 01 march 2024

Another addition to the small-sized LEGO Star Wars display ship range is the Invisible Hand, General Grievous' flagship from Revenge of the Sith, appearing for the first time. With 557 pieces and a 30 cm-long build placed on its black stand with a presentation plate and commemorative 25th-anniversary LEGO Star Wars brick, the set offers good value at $49.99.

75379 R2-D2

99.99 $ - 1050 piece - 01 march 2024

After the medium-sized display ships, the classic LEGO Star Wars line welcomes back another format: the brick-built droid. R2-D2 returns in 2024 in a smaller and more affordable version than before, priced at $99.99 for 1050 pieces. Apart from its successful construction, the set stands out with the inclusion of a collector's figurine of Dark Malak, the antagonist from the iconic game Knights of the Old Republic, one of the six commemorative figurines to collect for the 25th anniversary of the line.

75387 Boarding the Tantive IV

54.99 $ - 502 piece - 01 march 2024

The last set from the March 2024 releases is the 75387 Boarding the Tantive IV, the only playset in the wave. Lego once again plays on nostalgia with a set depicting the storming of the Tantive IV by Stormtroopers and Darth Vader—the very first scene from the 1977 Star Wars film! Although not an adult diorama with a quote like others, the set features a well-executed design and a finish surpassing that of similar sets. The quality-price ratio is excellent at $54.99 for 502 pieces, including seven figurines: Vader, two Stormtroopers, Captain Antilles, two Rebel soldiers, and the unique figure of ARC Trooper Fives from The Clone Wars series, added to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the line.
